First constructed in 1957, the stately 13-story Cherry Hill
Apartments defined the upscale suburban lifestyle that eventually
became synonymous with Cherry Hill. In 2002, Viking Associates
acquired the towers with the goal of restoring the property
to a preeminent position in the local market and to give the
region’s community members a better choice for a premier
address within Cherry Hill.
With
the Healey Brothers leading the way, the ambitious renovation
project was begun and now the Cherry Hill Towers are
in the limelight once again, garnering both praise and
public acclaim.
Bob and Bill Healey are the visionary business and civic
leaders whose entrepreneurial spirit has become the
prime motivation behind the Cherry Hill Towers project.
South Jersey born and raised, Bob and Bill have been
“movers and shakers” for over 50 years.
Bill served in the US Marine Corp during WWII and attended
St. Joseph’s University after the war. Bob was
a successful Camden County attorney when he and Bill
decided to become partners in the real estate development
business and other endeavors. Soon after they joined
forces, Viking Yachts was founded and not long after
became the preeminent manufacturer of high-end sport
fishing boats and luxury yachts.
Together, over the years, Bill and Bob have forged several
other successful business ventures in marine repair
and maintenance, gas and oil exploration and production,
and telecommunications, to name just a few. Never content
to rest on their laurels, Bill and Bob have a deep and
abiding sense of community responsibility. In an effort
to make a meaningful and lasting contribution to the
communities that gave so much to them, they recently
established several charitable foundations which benefit
local causes.
